First, I'd just need to learn how to text message.
But I wouldn't want to spend my whole time @ a hip concert trying to type in letters on a cell phone.

It's no secret I like to play around with things. I am currently working on something that will pull photos from an email - a la camera phone, to post.

There's a long way to go to get it working, but I have tracked down a script that should work and it's on my agenda. . . I've thought about the set list thing, but decided against it. Mostly bc I won't be at every show and can't do it and to be done right, it needs to be done right etc. But fan photos from phones, live, would be kinda cool. So that's something I am working on . . .

I'd be willing to receive complimentary passes to each show and update a running setlist at thehip.com or Hipbase. :thumb: Just a thought.

Or if you are looking for someone to take the photos, my camera, coupled with my iBook can capture directly to the computer and do a live update from there. Just a thought... :wink:

Pictures would be cool, but all I have is a digital camera. But I would post the pictures the next day... and that's almost live. And then hopefully I could post a torrent of the concert that I recorded too!

On the Panic board we did post some camera phone shots, but it involved someone FTPing pictures to server and all that. It worked well, but it was definetly work for the person doing the thread. And it was very cool..But, that also was when there was an actual TOUR going on..you know..like three days on, two days off..travelling around..stuff like that??

Most, if not all camera phone have the ability to email photos right after you take the picture. This system - if I can get it working, would only require an email address, whcih you would enter once. After that, you'd take the picture, send it to the email address, and everything else would happen automatically on the server. It's the easiet thing I could think of, but takes some finagling (sp) which is happening. Call this a new pet project. So one day I hope to make it happen.
