On, "another" music board I'm on, we sticky a thread that someone updates through text messages from someone at the shows as the songs come in, it's really fun to see the setlist come in...
I know it's dorky..but would anyone want to text the songlist as it comes in??
Someone tried to run a poll for that before.
Here is what happened so far:

Pearl Jam's Message Pit does this. Pretty cool in my opinion. I don't however have the capabilities to do so myself.
I think that Lance mentioned something like this when he was here in Toronto at the Holiday Jam....
I can send updates to hipfans.com with my cell phone, and could set it up for everyone if this server/software doesn't have that feature.
I don't think it's worthwhile unless the band starts mixing it up a bit more with the setlist writing.

Well, it's a little different from the DMB shows..
It's not involving the crew..

i'd do it...i too follow pearl jam shows this way, and it's kinda cool (dorky too I know, but hey....), and I would be willing to help with the guelp/fort york shows....
First, I'd just need to learn how to text message.
But I wouldn't want to spend my whole time @ a hip concert trying to type in letters on a cell phone.

It's no secret I like to play around with things. I am currently working on something that will pull photos from an email - a la camera phone, to post.
There's a long way to go to get it working, but I have tracked down a script that should work and it's on my agenda. . . I've thought about the set list thing, but decided against it. Mostly bc I won't be at every show and can't do it and to be done right, it needs to be done right etc. But fan photos from phones, live, would be kinda cool. So that's something I am working on . . .

I'd be willing to receive complimentary passes to each show and update a running setlist at thehip.com or Hipbase. :thumb: Just a thought.
