There's no shame in liking the Crue. For anyone who was old enough to experience the 80's, Motley Crue rocked.

I was old enough to experience the 80s, and I thought the Crue sucked even back then. Around 1986 I was really starting to get into rock music, and luckily my friend had an older sister who let us listen to her records all the time (remember vinyl?). Looking back on it, she actually had pretty good taste. At that time we were heavy into stuff like U2, Men at Work, The Clash, The Police, Genesis, AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, ZZ Top, Simple Minds, and a few others. Another friend of mine had a couple of Crue records, but I just never liked 'em. And then Guns N' Roses came along and blew bands like the Crue right out of the water.
