"Tiger The Lion" was the "Gus" of (d'oh!) M@W. Without the innovative in-yer-face-mother-effer chords and distortion of TTL, Gus would have been naught but a twitch in his daddy's loins. 8)

Looks like Gus is going to run away with this one.
I don't know if I'm more surprised about Gus being the clear winner or NOIB getting so few votes.

Well, let's talk about that. E.g., what's the big deal with INOIB? I like the song (although I was disappointed to hear Gord deny that there's any reference to NOIS; to me that added a lot of resonance to the song. Of course, an author's statements about his intentions should never be taken as definitive). It's got a catchy chorus built around his francisized pronunciation of 'Orleans,' which is amusingly different from the anglicized pronunciation of NOIS....and I like the fact that the song doesn't linger pointlessly. But on the other hand, the melody sounds a bit rushed, or breathless, to me, as though there are too many words for the music.
Any thoughts?

And about Gus...A friend that saw the show in Montreal said that Gord introduced Gus by saying 'This song is called Gus, the metaphor from central park'....thats so awesome...hilarious, sticking it to all those inquisitive fools, 'whats this song all about, what did you mean by that, bla bla bla'

In the end, after struggling with it, I decided on One Night In Copenhagen.
I know its a short song, and maybe not the most popular song on IBE, but I love it, I cant stop listening to it, the beat and the rhythm the lyrics are great. I might be in the minority here with this, but I will continue to push this song to the top!
