So it should be close to -10 degrees celsius by the time the Grey Cup rolls around, and we all know Gord loves singing in more 'tropical' conditions; is the cold going to affect his singing? Have the Hip ever played in this type of condition before?

I'm thinking Gord's voice may be shaky for this performance. How can you sound good in the middle of a football stadium in the freezing cold? The boys will fight through the cold and hopefully put on a good performance but I'm certainly not expecting an elite performance. They are better in the context of a concert anyway because they take a little time to warm up and get in the groove. I'll be watching!! :thumb: IT should be good and I'm in eager anticipation to see it. It sure trumps Shania or Tom Cochrane or Brian Adams or Britney Spears or Janet Jackson or .....I could go on and on.

I asked Paul after the Toledo show what they were going to play. He said he didn't know yet. He also said the band was asked to pre record and that they flat out refused to do the half time show unless they could play live. He also said he is a bit worried about what the cold might do to his guitar. He is hoping for a warm night in Ottawa.

They were asked to pre record? AMAZING!!!!! :roll: Wouldn't people that do this stuff feel awkward up on stage playing their instruments? It would be like shooting a friggin music video!! Do they just pre record the voice or the instruments? I assume it would be the whole thing. A voice sounding the same every night is part of the problem in the music industry. I don't want perfection. I want honesty and Gord exemplifies that quality in his singing.

As for Paul hoping for a warm night, well......it depends on what he considers warm.
