couple of things popped into my head reading the article, number one the guy sounds like the type of artsy music lover who goes to concerts to navel gaze at the act and thinks that the audience isnt supposed to interact with the art he is admiring. He has a point with the obnoxious captain canada's and the frat boys who scream for New Orleans. I think we got the best deal on the planet with a band that makes intelligent records and loves to rock your socks off playing live. like most of the previous posters, we feed off the band and the band feeds off our enthusiasm and energy. I used to be a big Rush fan but the enjoyment of seeing them wore off when they played the same stuff night after night and focused on being musically tight. Its great to see them want to sound their best but its boring after a while cause they dont try to loosen things up and relax. I'd rather watch a band that jams out and experiments with the music live than listen to a band that is so tight musically the air drummers follow with precision.
