So now I'm curious... do people here tune into David Letterman or Jay Leno? I'm a big David Letterman fan myself... I find it more 'down to earth'...

When I actually stay up to watch, I tend to favour Letterman, although if there is a better guest on Leno I may watch him. It does depend some on the guest but all things being equal there is really no comparison. Leno is a notch or two below Dave comedy wise. I just don't find Leno funny at all. The Leno show just seems too "fake" for the lack of a better term. The production quality is just, I don't know, I'm just turned off by it.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Kilborn is one of the worst late-nighters I've ever had the displeasure of seeing...perhaps second only to Mike Bullard in that category. Look how great the Daily Show is with Jon Stewart, who replaced Kilborn....maybe somebody new can breathe some life into the Late Late Show.

In the Leno vs. Letterman debate, I have a question: all things being equal with respect to guests, does anyone voluntarily watch Leno? I'm being serious. Leno gets higher ratings, but I don't know one single person who watches him.....

I watch Leno every so often, just to see his monologues sometimes; they can be terrific and then can also be downright painful.

I watch Headlines for 10 minutes every Monday. That's it. I even mute his introductory monologues and listen to music while waiting for them. I figure the only reason Leno gets higher ratings is California is the most populous state in the union...it's location, location, location I guess.

So true, so true. I think his role in the movie was playing himself. I get the feeling that he is a pompous jerk in his everyday life but I admit I found him very funny on the show. That thing about the "Ewok guy" was hilarious.

As for Dave and Jay, like I said before Letterman is a much funnier man than Leno. I find that when I have seen Leno's monologue I haven't found it funny in the least.
