They would be smart to release Dark Canuck as a single, it would be a bold move because of the length but I don't think they have written a better song since Day For Night.........

The first couple of times that I listened to IVL, there were two songs that really didn't jump out at me: Silver Jet & Leave. It's not that I didn't like either of those songs, but I really wasn't getting into them. However, after repeated listening, I now can't wait to here each and every track on the album, and Silver Jet has become one of my favorites!
I doubt that Silver Jet can help but become a successful single, as long as its given enough air play. Its a Catch 22: if the song is successful it'll get lots of play, but for the song to become successful it might need a lot of play initially. Just like the Hip in general, it often takes many listens for a lot of people to get into any of their stuff.
For the record, I think that IAGLIYDW was a great single. Based on its haunting tone and tempo I'm surprised at just how often I've seen the video. Always on MuchMoreMusic of course, but I far perfer that station to the original Much anyway. It seemed to be in the MMM Countdown and Top 5 for a long time. On the rock station in Sudbury it was the reigning champ on the listner-requested weekly top 20 for weeks and weeks.

The last 3 minutes of Dark Canuck is the PERFECT "Hip Groove". No band can sound like that. It brings a smile to your face.
