i feel so proud of him...such an honor x 10
let's hope he's around for forever but if he had to go when the time called this is his greatest legacy(as said before)
despite the tears shed i feel he probably realizes that this is an amazing accomplishment, for which he has now been officially recognized for
he must have some great joy in knowing that he is one of the one's that made a real difference in a lot of people's lives.

I find it interesting that this project was sitting waiting to be released for a couple of years. It puts some songs off of the recent Hip albums into a slightly different context for me, or offers some explanation. It must be very satisfying to see this work have a true impact.

I think he held it on purpose because he was waiting for the 50th anniversary of Chanie's death. It makes me think of certain songs going all the way back to Now the Struggle Has a Name.

Goodnight Attawapiskat obviously comes to mind as well. When the Hip played that one show up there back in 2012, that may have been the trip that got the ball rolling on the Secret Path project, along with the Macleans article that his brother gave him.
