I had no issues with the Ottawa crowd around me about a third of the way back on the floor. On their feet, cheering, singing and then quiet at all the right times. And that is despite the soul sucking building and staff that seem to want to extract all joy from attendees for any event. CTC should look down the road to Lansdowne Park and that ownership group for how to appreciate a paying crowd.

The roar during Grace in Calgary#1 was the loudest I've heard a crowd anywhere. It was louder than in this video. It drowned out the music. I was sitting just to the right and a little below this camera angle. Incredible. What gets me at every show is everyone singing along with ABAC. In Winnipeg we practically drowned Gord out on some of those lines.

Fucking brilliant. I like to think this tour the whole crowd sang just a little louder than usual. Imagine what that feels like for the band to have that energy pointed at them.
I was at the Winnipeg show and I sang my ass off for every song from the 7th row. It was cathartic, like how I imagine religious folks feel in church. There were definitely moments where the crowd seemed to almost drown out the band, in a wonderful and celebratory way.
Did this almost everywhere, especially Hamilton and Kingston. Didn't need tears to show much they mean to us.

the extremely drunk, backwards-wearing baseball cap, fratboys, were at an all time low on this tour
i saw 7 shows and never had any issues....which completely shocked me

The Kingston crowd was just amazing. They just seemed to have the cheering, singing along, spontaneity, respect - everything just right. I wish the CBC broadcast would/could have picked that up a bit more. Trying to describe the roar to someone that watched it on television in the comfort of their own home, or a small group, just doesn't do it justice. While certainly a lot of it had to do with the people in attendance rising to the occasion, I think part of it had to do with much fewer casual/my boss' season ticket type attendees than at the ACC for example (that said, Friday at the ACC was stellar).
However, I can't not mention the middle age woman sitting beside me in Kingston. I was in Row 2 of Section 113, very close to Paul's corner of the stage. Very close to friends and family. This woman was there (I think) with her husband beside her (he seemed to be a fan). They didn't interact though. Without exaggeration, she sat for all but one song. Even then, it was stand to stretch her legs, as opposed to enjoy the music. She sat there on her phone the entire time, with a look that ranged from annoyance to 'this is too loud'. The one time I looked down, she was googling gangrene on her phone. Gangrene. I was incredulous inside, but was too focused on the band and the extraordinary moment in order to waste any energy on her. It was unbelievable though. The tens of thousands that would have given their (metaphorical) left arm, their f*cking left arm, to be in the building- let alone in that seat.
What a day, what a night, what a town, what a crowd....

I Was at the Winnipeg show, thanks to stevewiebemusic, and the crowd was great! The most cohesive unit of any show I've ever been to. Had a few beers and strategically bolted to the urinal during the lightning storm, I didn't have another until 23:52.
