I've heard it said a couple times here that the crowds at the MMP tour were extremely attentive compared to other shows. Was this the case for the whole tour? In Winnipeg it was uncanny how closely the crowd watched the band's every move. Even during the new stuff no one even left for a beer! That's one hell of a feat!! Lol Also the crowd was insanely boisterous. Like literally every second Gord closed his mouth between chrorus or verse the crowd went nuts. It was like we had to say thank yu every second we got. I've been to hundreds of concerts of all sorts of bands and this was a very unique exerience. I've truly never seen an entire crowd so rapt with attention.
Was every single show on the tour like this? I suspect so.

I think the neatest things in the shows I saw in person was how the crowd could go from a roar to silence to hear what Gord had to say. No one was yelling out something goofy -- we stopped and listened.

It was so eerie. Kingston, obviously, and Hamilton. The loudest crowds going so quiet in an instant.

The two Toronto shows I saw were the same way. Great attentive crowds.

In spite of carebread's experience  , from Ottawa section 105, you could hear a pin drop when Gord spoke, and the crowd was deafening at times. I also never saw anyone in my section go to the bathroom at any point during the show, or even go to get another beer. Practically a religious experience.

I was in 106 (i think), maybe 108... Right next to Paul.
It was loud as hell where I was.
Probably just from me screaming the Summer's Killing Us lyrics.

People at both Edmonton shows ditched for the MMP and (newer album no one cares about) sets.

Yeah, I saw a lot of beer runs for the MMP set at every show I went to.

There have always been some major Ottawa haters on this site since day 1. Every single time the HIP play Ottawa, they come out and bash Ottawa. It's bizarre. If you want to argue that Hamilton, Kingston, or one or more of the Toronto shows was "louder" than Ottawa, sure, but to say things like Ottawa was a quiet crowd or that fans were sitting down is like a Fox News/Trump perception of reality. The CTC was as loud as it has ever been last Thursday. I didn't see anyone sitting down. If you were in a section where you saw someone sitting down, don't say 19,000 people were sitting down. The Ottawa crowd was great, the band fed off the energy and put on one of the best shows of the tour, it was my second favorite set-list of the tour (Kingston of course), and I think we all know that Kingston had the best crowd. The biggest crowd would have been ACC in Toronto and just naturally should have and probably was decibel-wise, the loudest. But all shows on the tour were tremendous and all crowds were out of their minds emotional and excited. The vast majority of fans who got tickets to this tour were true HIP fans. If 1% of them weren't jumping up and down and screaming there could be a 100 reasons for that and they shouldn't be shit on. This thinking reminds me of when Kanye West stopped playing to call out one person who was seated and after several minutes of insulting the man, he realized the man was in a wheelchair. Ooops. We're a #hipfamily and in Gord we trust. Hip!

Thought Winnipeg and Hamilton were the loudest shows of the tour
pin drop silence when gord spoke pretty much everywhere
Friday night toronto crowd was also excellent...thought the wednesday crowd was pretty tame by comparison...
Hamilton and Winnipeg we off the charts

Winnipeg had the loudest crowd I've ever heard and probably will ever hear. Such an awesome experience.
