I'm at 32 after the ACC show later this month. First show was Hamilton 2000. Great 1st show, got Lionized, wherewithal, Opiated and Sherpa

I think Im around 30-35, first show was Hamilton Feb 1995 the DFN tour. My best year was 2002, saw them 8 times: Bayfest in Sarnia, Walkerton, twice at the Molson Amp, twice at the Hummingbird and twice in Hamilton.

First show 93 ARA Markham, then 94 Barrie ARA , 95 Markham ARA, a few shows here and there for the rest of the 90, during the first 5 years of 2000s I only went to 1 show then in 2005 we hit the road again and have been going to a few every tour since. Including Paul Langlois solo shows and Gord Downie and The Sadies plus Gords shows at Harvest Festival I will be going to show number 31 in London this coming April. Not a lot but it seems that when it comes to the shows that I have been at, I have managed to hit quite a few of the epic ones.

Ya, I got tickets to the show in the 300s. Limited budget this year now that I have a little one.

This April in St. John's will be my 17th time seeing them. Living in Newfoundland, the opportunities to see the Hip were a lot less then if I lived on the mainland somewhere, but I consider myself lucky to have seen some pretty awesome shows including:
-The first time they played the Molson Amphitheater
-hammered in the new year in Hamilton with back to back shows
-2005 Grand Falls Salmon Festival. First time No Threat was played live. I remember standing in the pouring rain listening to sound check and hearing it then for first time.
-also got to see them at the Ottawa Bluesfest in 2011
-World Container tour St. John's show. Met the band day before show! Got a picture with them and they autographed my jersey. I had front row seats and at the end of the show Johnny gave me his drumsticks and they gave me the setlist. Most memorable concert ever for me!

Wow - I'm amazed at some of the numbers I'm reading here.... For me, seeing them in April in Kingston will be show number 16 for me. First one for me was back in '95 on the DFN tour on a Sudbury Saturday night. A few months later in Montreal at ARA, with some rain sprinkled in. I was at the World Container fan club show at the Horseshoe and saw them when they headlined 106.9 The Bear ten-year anniversary show at the Capitol City Music Hall in Ottawa.

My most memorable: ARA Markham 95 (my first show), Edenfest '96, Cobo '96, the Centennial Hall show that aired on Much in '98, Woodstock '99, Fort York Night 2, JLC 2004...plus 2X at Mulcahy's in Long Island (98 and '00, front row both nights). I've had a few clunkers mixed in too though: Stratford 06, Rock the Park in London '09, and a show at Artpark in Buffalo (07?).

Given the date, I'll wade in. I am into the mid 40's now. First shows were the back to back ARA nights at Markham Fairgrounds in 1993. A quick off the top of my head most memorable concerts-
July 23 1993 Markham ARA- you always remember your first. I can still to this day recall in my head hearing the opening notes of We'll Go Too and where I was standing
July 24 1993 Markham ARA- hearing Get Back Again and thinking wow, this is going to be the next big Hip 'slow' song in the line of LTR/Fiddlers/Wheat Kings....little did I know...
February 10 1995 Maple Leaf Gardens- the crowd shook the Gardens like I have never felt an arena shake. It is hard to comprehend that that show took place 20 yrs ago today. On one hand it seems like yesterday. On the other, the road from age 18 to 38 contains a lifetime of great experiences.
July 22 1995 Markham ARA- standing front row in front of GS and watching him look at GD, then our way, while shaking his head and laughing in that I can't believe we are actually going to play this song, right now, before they launched into Summer Side of Life.
June 24, 2006 Fort York- the venue + rarity appreciating audience + unlikely setlist = fantastic show
September 30, 2009- Hamilton Place- having GD jump down into the first row during Bobcaygeon, hand me a pick, throw his arm over my shoulder and have me strum the outro. Unreal.

Seen them 16 times since 2000 (if you count the Grey Cup, which I of course do). Seen Gord 4 times, Paul once, and whatever that band Robby was in for about 10 minutes at a festival.
Best one was probably still the first...got spoiled by the 2000 'evening with...' show, and have been chasing that ever since. Other highlights included
- the club show in montreal in 2006, which had only the 2nd or 3rd outing ever of 'fiddler's green' (which I've seen about 6 or 7 times since, but still...),
- staring at Dan Akroyd's bald spot and watching all of the crazy backstage stuff from a seat behind the stage at the opening of the KRock centre in Kingston and
- one of the nights at the NAC in 2009, where they played pretty much all of my favourite songs.
Lowlights have been every ottawa bluesfest show (except the most recent one, which was surprisingly not-bad).
