A man in Edmonton claims to have seen the Tragically Hip 67 times starting with a 'surprise' show at the Sidetrack Cafe in 1995 - 68 times counting the upcoming Feb. 12 show at the local hockey arena. He has never looked into whether or not in fact he is the biggest Hiphead in Canada. Can anyone top that number? It's not a competition. Just curious. http://www.gigcity.ca/2015/02/05/edmonto...-counting/
25 for me! Does Gord Downie solo or with the Sadies count?
its my 23rd tomorrow night.

67 is not that high in comparison to some people out there.
I promise you he's nowhere near the biggest hiphead in canada. he started in 95 for heaven's sake. that's late for the hard core easterners. serious.
He's got me doubled...but there's lots of super fans who've seen 'em way more than that!
A couple tours back I remember seeing a thread in which it was the same reviewer on hipbase that was following them on nearly every stop.
Last night was my 19th. Back in 2007 there was a guy who was at his 200th show, iirc. 67 is a lot but by no means is it even close to the most.
Where's Mark S.? I think he has the highest count here, no? In the hundreds I believe.

I'm at 65, with three more shows on this tour to go! If I add in Gord D. and Paul L. side projects, I'm probably up into the 90's.
At my age , my memory isn't what it used to be

mid 20's perhaps
54 for me,1st in 90 at the old ontario place forum, the latest, the danforth warm up show, with toronto and st kitts up next and maybe oshawa in april, like sarah throw in gord and paul shows, well over that #.Markslog is hip superfan in the hundreds.
The Ontario Place Forum had 3 shows for Road Apples, Friday to Sunday. Back in the days where you could buy a six pack, a gram of hash and a ticket for less than 30 bucks. They also played Up to Here at the same place in 89. My memory isn't great, but, I've seen them all over North America and once in Europe, so I'm likely around 60 or so by now. It's funny how things change. I remember how hard it was to get a ticket for the Fully Tour at Massey Hall. They were Canada's definition of the Beatles at that time, without the drama.
I'm somewhere in the low 40s -- I've seen a show on every tour since Up To Here, and usually multiple shows per tour. Beauty of being in Ottawa is they they're in the area often, especially in the early days, and easy to get to Kingston and eastern seaboard shows. Going further back, I can say I saw them play my high school dance....but I have no memory of it....
Well seeing as Up To Here came out when I was aged 1; my first show was IBE in Saint John in 2004 when i was 16.
18 under my belt, 19th upcoming in Montreal.

Not bad for a late bloomer from the MerryTimes, where Hip shows are fewer and further between than the rest of Canada...

...Except the Territories. Damn, it'd be cool if they played in Whitehorse.
I am at 89 - first Darien lake 97 , next will be April in buffalo
I think I am at 35 to 40
I really lost count
cant even remember to be honest
first show was at mlg 95
last show was the beacon a couple weeks ago
