They shipped with Purolator. That's likely the hold up. I heard that one of the drivers in that area is really slow.

Received my 6 pack yesterday, they are in the basement in the box, one bottle just got opened... smelled abit rough at 1st but after diving in my wife says it's a nice wine , she is enjoying it. Any wino's know the details on how long the wine would actually keep ? If so whats best way to store?

All those who ordered, enjoy !!

when we picked some up last weekend , the guy advised laying it for another two weeks before opening , and then said it will be a good "cellar wine"

I'm guessing that to mean it may improve with age ?

I would've thought that wine was more of a heavy metal thing than rock & roll.

If you plan to store your bottles, keep them on their side, not standing up. The cork needs to stay wet (with the wine) in order to do its job. If the bottles are standing up, the cork dries out and lets air in, ruining the wine.

Just an FYI for those who may not already know!

Like any other cellaring wines or strong beer, cool dry and out of light is always best. Have a basement? Stick them down there...and yes, wine needs to be in it's side...corked beer does not...

Suzanne and I opened 1 bottle and drank it, I like red wine more than white, I found this wine very dark in colour and also it was on the dry side, with little aftertaste, Just perfect in my book for the type of wine I enjoy. I don't know much about how "nutty or fruity or flowery" it tasted or did not taste, It was wet and purple and left a bit of dryness in my mouth, also it was strong for wine. That's how I liked it, not a good review but a review none the less.

Forgot to post my info here, but better late than never.

I spoke to someone at the winery (Bob McCown's nephew I believe - Bob is the somewhat new owner). Here are the tips/info:

This is a "real wine" - they did not just stick a TTH label on some random liquid. Also it's very recently bottled - as such, since it's so new, it needs at minimum two weeks to settle before you open it. So it should be OK to drink now.

Store on its side in a wine cellar, or for us regular folk, a basement.

For best drinking results, decant first and let it sit for >30 minutes.

It will probably be best after 4 years of storage, so don't drink it all now! It will still be good after 10 years, but the sweet spot will be about 4.

They will most likely NOT be doing a white as previously rumoured.

Also, there can't be a "second run" of this stuff, since wine is made from grapes of a particular year/season. So when those grapes are used up, that's it. I was told they were close to sold out, and that was weeks ago when I called. I think the larger quantity purchases by us hardcore fans were already made - he said all kinds of Hip fans were coming in to buy it. That was a question they were asking most in-person purchasers.

Enjoy!
