Well that was awesome and fun while it lasted! they should do TTH Tuesdays or Thursdays. my only gripe was the heavy repetition. got in my car at 1:02pm songs were in this order:
Goodnight Attawapiskat
Blow (live)
IAGLIYDW
....went into the store for 10 min max....
Blow (studio)
Goodnight Attawapiskat
I look at the clock and it's 1:31pm obviously the whole operation was a set it/forget it scenario.

Where is the location of the checkerboard floors? I always wanted to know this.

I believe it is in reference to the Horseshoe Tavern, with its checkerboard floors.

I listened to the show this morning and Gord says that the checkerboard floors are over on Spadina. Spadina is a street in Toronto. The Horseshoe, with its checkerboard floors, is in Queen Street, not Spadina. (The Horseshoe is VERY close to The intersection of Queen & Spadina so...)

Although I don't remember it ever having checkerboard floors perhaps Gord is referring to a famous club on Spadina called "El Mocambo"?

When in the YYZ, I insisted upon having a beer at the Horseshoe just so I could 'grace' the checkerboard.
