I also bought Day For Night on vinyl off of maplemusic. That was probably 4 years ago and I think it cost me about $25. Other than that the only Hip vinyl I have come across in stores is We Are The Same at HMV and Sunrise Records but they wanted around $40-$45 for it.

RA is the best sounding Hip vinyl IMO. This is the German pressing. While not quite the equal sonically of the of the CAN and US Sterling pressings, still a nice sounding slab of vinyl.

I would love to get Road Apples or Day For Night on vinyl but there's no chance in hell I'm paying 65 bucks for it.

This post reminded me that I hadn't listened to any Hip vinyl for a while, so I decided to play one every night this week. Listening to LBU right now. This vinyl has balls to spare compared to it's digital counterpart. Ever notice that the channels are reversed? I have to change the stereo selector to reverse stereo on my amp to enjoy it properly. A live Hip recording just doesn't sound right with Rob on the left and Paul on the right :what

The deals are out there, if you look hard enought. BTW...this is the first German pressing (rainbow label same as UTH). There is also a second German pressing. It has the newer MCA label (same label as the Fully Completely Holland pressing). Happy hunting!

So we all know that TATH is the most rare Hip vinyl, commanding $150+ (unless you get very lucky) to aquire when it pops up, which is almost never. While TATH may be the most rare official release, there is another Hip vinyl that is much more rare. It is the vinyl version of the edited 1991 Roxy show that was pressed and sent to radio stations for the original broadcast way back in 1991. I saw this LP come up on ebay about 5 years ago. I missed the auction close and waited for another copy to surface, which never happened. I have searched high and low for this LP for years without success, until tonight :jump No other bidders...still in shock

hock: My collection is now complete.

I got DFN,Self Titled, UTH, WATS and some singles that are in 33rpm format that have unreleased stuff on b sides. but yea I always wanted to get RA. Someday I will come across it and pick it up. Fully C. would be a good find too.

The Locked 12" single is nice, as it has a couple of live songs from the '92 Horseshoe show as b-sides.

How much would one pay for a signed copy of TATH?
Not in the shrinkwrap, but never played. Record never removed from the sleeve.
I took the shrink-wrap off just so I could get their signatures backstage at the December 6th 2000 show in Ottawa.

I wouldn't pay anything for it myself, as I already have a copy and can only listen to one LP at a time. For me, the satisfaction is soley based on listening to it, not
having it. That's the whole point of having Hip vinyl...isn't it? BTW...TATH vinyl sounds really nice (especially on tube gear :music ) and kills the DFN vinyl sonically speaking, if you are comparing. Just my 2 cents.
