WAY off topic.. Tupac Resurrection movie

Explains How the movie industry can afford to pay actors $20 Million for 1 person to do 1 film

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

I cannot even begin to say how much this frustrates me....even as, perhaps especially because I am an actor. The inbalance within the industry is huge, and disgusting. I understand that "star power" has a price, but when a well-trained, talented, and educated actor cannot make a living doing what (s)he is trained to do...there is something slightly wrong...at least, in my opinion.

I think that actors should have a $5 million per movie cap. If not officially, then an implied one amongst them. I mean, think about it...FIVE MILLION AMERICAN DOLLARS for a few months' work sounds pretty good for me. And Hollywood could even pass the $400 million in saved money along to the consumer, cut ticket prices a dollar, and get thousands more people (like me) who only go every six months to go once a month, every month. I think the same about sports...have a cap on salaries so seats to an NHL game don't cost up to NINETY FRIGGIN BUCKS each.

but none of it'll ever happen.

$90 is nothing! Come to Toronto and see what that gets you. Leafs tickets range from $25 (Standing room) to $405!!!!!

$405 + ticketbastard charges to watch a freakin' hockey game!! And every game is sold out.

Beers at the Air Canada Centre are $8.75 for a large!!

Outrageous!

Insane ticket prices for film, sports, theatre, etc, are partly why I love live music so much. Most of the time...everything seems pretty reasonable...if you can avoid ticketbastard.... :rambo: :x

Holy smokes, you gotta be on the wealthier side of the fence to go enjoy a Leafs game. Those corporate empires really know how to exploit the shit out of sports and whatever else they got their fingers in. :x

$8.75 for a fraggin beer......cripes
