I am not sure of the difference between the "Billboard Top 200" (148) and the "Billboard Comprehensive Albums" (164)

"approximately twenty to thirty "catalog" albums that still sell well enough to be one of the top 200"

Thanks.
I guess there are 16 "legacy" albums that still sell better than a new release by The Hip.

That's really no surprise, I would assume that there are albums out there by the beatles, pink floyd, the eagles etc. that are selling astronomical amounts of albums still. Then there's the millions of grade 9 kids that are just getting into their obligatory Nirvana stage, I'd guess that Nevermind probably sells a hefty amount each week.

A few weeks back on Q107 they were talking about the top selling artists of the last few years and AC/DC and The Beatles were right near the top of the list. And they were the only ones who didn't release any new material in that period.

Not to shabby after 3 weeks on the charts.
Week 1: #1
Week 2: #5
Week 3: #6
