Not much really. The whole thing was overblown to be honest. Some drunk threw a baseball onto the field in the vicinity of one of the Tiger's fielders, and when it happened a second time the Tigers left the field and there was a 9 minute delay before they started playing again...

So sad:

Nick Adenhart, Angels pitcher, killed in Fullerton crash

Angels' pitcher Nick Adenhart was among the three killed in a crash in Fullerton when a driver ran a red light, an associate of the rookie player said this morning. The crash occurred only hours after the 22-year-old appeared in Wednesday night's Angels game.

The accident occurred shortly after midnight at the intersection of Orangethorpe Avenue and Lemon Street in Fullerton, said Lt. Craig Brower of the Fullerton Police Department.

Several witnesses told police the driver of a red minivan ran a red light at the intersection, hitting a silver Mitsubishi carrying four passengers. Two people in the Mitsubishi were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, authorities said. Two others also in the Mitsubishi were taken to a nearby hospital, where one was later pronounced dead, Brower said.

This is crushing for me, Nick is from my hometown and I knew him personally. Unbelievable.

Did anybody see Reed Johnson's absolutely insane catch last night to rob Prince Fielder of a grand slam? This will be the best catch made all season. I'll even say this will be the top sports play of 2009 when the year end lists appear on Sportscentre. He dug his foot into the wall to get leverage and then caught the ball blind over the fence. The craziest part about it is he never ever plays right field. He only came into the game as a pinch runner for Milton Bradley who hurt himself running the bases in the 4th inning.

Getting rid of this guy ranks right up there as one of the dumbest moves in the history of the Jays organization, especially because Shannon Stewart was the man who replaced him. I realize Lind and Snider are now the left fielders but Reed Johnson would be a valuable player for every team in the league, that's why the Cubs snapped him up so fast. He's so good he took away an everyday centre field spot from Fukodome this season, they'll be platooning at that position.

Nick Swisher (first baseman/outfielder) pitched an inning for the Yankees last night and he was their best pitcher. Check out the pitching line. This might be the funniest thing in the history of the MLB

So does he get fantasy points for that? :thumb:

This happens a few times each season. Tony Pena Jr. was so good in his inning of work last year that people still wonder if they Royals should send him down to the minors to convert to pitcher:

NIce to see that douchebag Beckett get suspended for 5 games even though he only misses one start for thinking he's Roger Clemens and throwing a ball at Abreu's head on purpose. Does this mean Beckett is on the juice just like Clemens? Probably not, Beckett's just naturally a douchebag.

Another nice win by the Jays. They are really smoking the ball in the early going. Not sure it will last though!
