Me too (with the exception of the new Hip record of course). I'll never forget standing right in front of the stage at the Big Easy in Spokane with about 8 other people watching Sammy open up for the Hip. Everybody else in the place was standing near the bar at the back of the room, and it was like we were getting our own little private Sam Roberts show. Even with only a small handfull of people in front of the stage, it was obvious this guy's plan was to blow the socks off of every single person in that venue. The energy was amazing. Can't wait to get my hands on this album.[/quote]
I couldn't agree with you two more, SRB is one of those bands for me that everyone I'm sure has. They were one of the first bands that I got really "into", when I was younger. None of my friends particularly appreciated what they were doing or had an interest like I did in them. I was constantly checking their website for updates (back in the days when they had a link directing people to the unrelated Sam Roberts handbag company), and waiting for new albums. I think I was one of probably 100 people at SARStock that was actually excited to see them perform. After I'd burned my copy of BIAF out from way too many repeated playings I thought that they'd never release new material. Now it's funny since after the release of CC alot of my friends have been converted to fans and are anticipating the release of this album. Anyways I'm rambling, I just think they're an underappreciated band is all. :what
