Verification is a beautiful thing. Does anybody know anything about the park/area? Is it like a campground (a la the 2006 Guelph show) or more a park in the style of Fort York?

I am from Belleville and still not quite sure how they are going to set this up? There is an existing band shell, but it is quite old and surrounded by a hill, it definitely would not accommodate many people if they had it here. There is a soccer field off to the side of it, my guess is it will be held there, but that is just a guess.

If I get a chance I will take a couple photos to let you get an idea of how it looks, but basically, it is just a big open park right on the Bay of Quinte, right at the base of the bridge which takes you over to Prince Edward County. It has a kids playground, a canteen, the old bandshell, and the soccer field.....that is about it.

If anyone is interested, there is a Hotel right beside the park

It is literally a minute walk from where the show will be. May want to book early.

I'm with you Cochise, I'm not sure how they're going to set it up. The only other place they could set up a stage could be at the bottom of the sledding/fireworks hill beside the Ramada/Dog park, but that doesn't give very much room either.

I would assume it would have to be a G.A. show, but who knows, they could have a seating or VIP area?? As far as the festival, I have never ever heard of the "Big Music Fest" here in Belleville, I don't know if this is the first of what will become an annual festival or not?

The show is general admission (49.50). Pretty decent price for three very good shows. I'm not too worried about the layout with respect to the actual concert, my concern is how will they deal with parking. I'm sure that they will be bringing in their own bandshell, etc. I don't think Rob and the boys want to be standing under a leaky roof with their gear. And look to book something at the Ramada within the next week. Summer time is busy down here and chances are that there will be other events taking place in the area for the first weekend of summer.

How many people, would any of you guys familiar with the area, estimate the park could hold? Is this gonna be a situation where I should quickly gather the troops and get some presale tickets. Usually if it GA I tend to relax and just wait for public on sale, however; if there's only going to be about 2000 tickets on sale I may be more inclined to try for the presale.

And I'm surprised nobody has said anything about the fourth act that day, Attack in Black. Everything I've heard from them and of them has been nothing short of awesome. I'll definatley be excited to see them as well. I saw SRB in Pembroke on their last tour and it was absolutely amazing. The P.A. was so loud on Mind Flood that I was sure they were going to literally bring the old arena down to it's foundations.

I doubt very much that they could do this event for much less than that (meaning pay all the bands, pay the crew during prime season, permits, rentals, promoter fees,etc). I forget what the draw was for RMC but it had to be in the 20 thousand range for attendance. Anything less would surprise me, especially with the line-up.

You think Zwick's could hold that many people?? If I had to guess, I think the maximum would be 10000......and in all honesty I think that is a high number.........but I could be way off
