I can agree with this. Both albums have pros and cons. I voted for WC because in my opinion, it has more pros than cons.
Plus, I am not a big fan of Vaccination Scar. I have no idea why it was put on Yer Favourites.

Because it was the first single off IBE, so it was guaranteed a spot whether it was yer favourite or not.

I had to go with World Container, for purely personal reasons, it's the only album released since I became a fan so for me it's more powerful for the excitement of hearing the songs before the album was released and experienceing the build up as I came to learn about the band.

I agree with Matt about the personal aspect of WC, but I have to say I prefer IBE as an album.

I'm one of them. Love that song!!! I don't think I voted for it because (if memory serves me right) we only got 10 votes, but I'm happy it made the cut.

The fact that there was a public voting process does not mean that other considerations weren't involved in choosing tracks for that album. Concluding that a majority of Hip fans wanted Vacc Scar on the album is naïve, not to mention an abuse of the word "majority."

I respectfully have to disagree. The sound of the two albums is clearly distinct, and I don't think a combination of the two would flow at all. Also, I just like them too damn much to think about cutting out any songs from either album. I would hate to make the decision(s) about what tracks make the album, and which become outtakes. And I know 'In View' has taken a lot of heat here on the 'base, but I'll still defend it. I was watching the video of In View from Barrie yesterday on thehip.com, and that song seriously rocks. Damn catchy if you ask me.

Both of these records are definitely bottom-feeders in my Hip record hierarchy. If I grouped Hip records into tiers according to my preference, it'd look like this (no particular order within tiers):
