How about a solid Live recording of Montreal?

I'm not aware of a live version that is too spectacular as well.

So here are the songs I have chosen to focus on. I'm now starting to filter through all the info on them at the Hip museum. If there is any other info on these songs you can pass along to me that would great. I would also like to find out about some patriotic things the Hip have done (ie: Playing the Grey Cup).

The Hip played a private concert in Salt Lake City for the 2002 Olympics, for the canadian athletes, and I believe the womens hockey team (gold medal winning) joined them on stage.

I'm not sure if this would be of interest to you, but they got a star on "Canada's Walk of Fame" in 2002.

They also performed for Queen Elizabeth in Toronto on October 10, 2002 when she was in Canada celebrating her Jubilee:

These were two amazing performances. The look on the Queen's face at times is amusing, as I don't think the Hip are her "cup of tea" so to speak. It's a Good Life though was done beautifully, so she is very lucky to have seen that.

I also think 'The Dire Wolf' would be a great song choice.
I'd consider that fairly Canadian.

Since you have two hockey based tunes in the mix, perhaps you might want to scratch one from the lineup and add an aviation theme with consecutive Canadian place name references.

Aww...I thought you might be a little more daring than that I won't dispute the songs you've chosen, they are awesome but pretty standard radio singles, I think anyways. Except for Lonely End of the Rink...I don't hear anything off of the last few albums here on Winnipeg stations.

Play Inevitability of Death. That's some Canadiana for you...and another one that comes to mind is Bobcaygeon. Even the New Maybe I think...well, Idunno, it's a softie but it touches me at least, Idunno about you guys. So...uh...Gordon Lightfoot-y.
