MAv said earlier that this is like all other "Evening With" shows on the last tour -- no opener.

I really, really hope that the new barn brings the picture of the Queen from the Memorial over. At my formal during 4th year at Queen's, I looked up at to the photo and said to my partner at the time, "now that's why I'm happy the prom was here."

She shook her head, cursed a little, and headed for the bar. Which pretty much sums up a lot of our relationship.

Less than two weeks. I'm completely stoked. Merchant for the pre-show?

Cheers,

Pat

The Queen needs to be moved. And The Merchant sounds like a plan.

Park at the hotel around noon, start drinking, and hope the car's still there in the morning!

Walking in Kingston is beautiful....

Park at hotel, ideal... but there are spots, no worries, just relax and celebrate!!

Just got an e-mail from K-Rock where it said the show started at 7:30??

Congratulations to our Rock Raffle winner Jacqueline Sytsma
the winner of our HIP Front Row ROCK RAFFLE.

Join K-Rock LIVE at the Inaugural Concert at the K-Rock Centre! The Tragically HIP hit the stage at 7:30 and we want to crash the doors down with a last minute ticket blowouts.

Stop by our K-Rock tent on site at the Barrack Street Gate, fill out a ballot and get ready for the draw.
Starting at 7pm we will draw one ballot every 10 minutes and 57 seconds... you could score your way in and one lucky winner will be sitting in the front row... Yep the last pair of front row tickets in K-Town and we have them!

Anyone else get that??

[tina]

nope didn't get that, but it's great news!!

I lost my tickets in an unfortunate computer mishap when they first went on sale -- damn Ticketmaster and its 2:00 timer. Anyway, I'm in town this weekend visiting the folks and I was planning on meeting up with some friends at the Lone Star. If you exit the new "K-ROCK Centre" facing towards the lake (Ontario St.), head right (west) for a couple blocks and Lone Star is on the left side of the street. In summer, their patio is amazing.

Just in case anyone's up for some post-show drinking. I know tonight's going to be a killer show. I hope someone's recording.

I was relegated to the bleachers but did manage to hop the glass, balance my way across the boards, jump to the floor and snag Johnny's setlist.

I was with three buddies who were first timers. They loved it and couldn't believe Elwood Blues joined the boys on stage. One guy even called his dad: "you're not gonna believe this!"

We went to Kingston's only strip club afterwards, and they played the Hip between dancers.
