Finally got a chance to spin both of these this weekend; they both sound very good to me and they both sound much more "open" to me than the CD's.

After seeing this:

Since the database has only one TTH vinyl, I'm tempted to rip my vinyl to FLAC and see where these sort out. Obviously, the vinyl mix for WWTS is a huge difference when compared to the CD mix.

Yer Favourites has some pretty bad results; while I have the rest of the songs on vinyl, would love to see a single released of No Threat and The New Maybe. Either just one with both songs or one for each with a cool B side.

While I would certainly purchase Yer Favourites on vinyl if it came out, I would actually be much more interested in these as singles.

I got the chance to listen -- a rainy Sunday.

World Container sounded very good. Consistent with all of the recent reissues, it's the "lesser tracks" that have stood out for me. In this case, Pretend -- an OK song -- but the vinyl version really highlights the great acoustic guitar work. Also like the other reissues, vocals are maybe a touch higher in the mix. World Container is one of those albums that divides fans, it's an album I like a lot. Vocals are really immediate and live -- The Drop Off sounds incredible.

IBE I only got to listen to the first side -- as above, the vocal mix sounds really great.

I think Ludwig did a really good job on these -- the only one that didn't impress me was FC. It's still a good release, but the other vinyl reissues had a few more revelations for me.

I've done PP, IVL, s/t, RA, UTH so far and am really happy with the sound of the FLACs. Haven't done a Foobar analysis or anything though.

As with WC, not a night and day difference but certainly opened up over the CD. Looking at the database, I think I'm going to rip MMP (not too surprising to see lots of compression in a 2016 release) and PP (where I'm very surprised to see how poorly that CD performs for dynamic range).

Thanks for keeping it up. My Fully vinyl has a scratch on side 2 that impacts the first song and a half... I can manually repair the tracks but talk about tedious. Of course at the moment I'm not able to find another copy at a reasonable price.

Have you experienced THE DROP - OFF ?

Spun World Container this weekend. Near the end of Last Night I Dreamed and into The Drop-Off, the right channel completely 'Drops Off'. I cleaned my needle, cleaned the vinyl, checked all my cabling...

Still no output from the right channel. My amplifier shows nothing going into the right channel.

Anybody else experience this? Am I the only one that's experienced this defect so far?

Can't find my receipt .... bought it at Sunrise in Gatineau.
