Vinyl Re-reissues
#1

Noticed on Amazon.ca that the that first 3 Hip albums are getting re-reissued on vinyl by Universal on Oct 14. I say "re-reissued" as they were recently reissued by Music on Vinyl not too long ago. Strange Universal would start with those same ones. But perhaps this means others will follow. DFN, TATHH, maybe PP? HAVE DFN but wow I would kill for TTATHH and PP on vinyl.

I'm very hopeful that not only do they reissue everything that has previously available on vinyl but they also press the ones which have never made it to vinyl. Sure way to get more of my money!

As it is, I'm thinking of picking up the EP, UTH and RA but since I have original pressings of the first two and the MOV RA, not sure if I will or not.

I really hope they go through the whole catologue and release them. I already have old pressing of these re-issued ones. i would love all the non vinyl released ones to be put out and TATH, the only one I never managed to get my hands on.

Agreed. I want everything on vinyl, including Gord's solo records. MMP was the first album of theirs I bought on vinyl...and I've since bought the WATS double-album, but I want all the rest now too.

These vinyl reissues are likely just the first of many upcoming Hip releases from Universal. They're the biggest thing in Canadian music right now, and the entire country is talking about them. From a business standpoint they're gonna take advantage for sure. I'd love to get DFN, TATH, and PP on vinyl eventually.

I only recently got into vinyl and I've definitely got a lot of holes in the Hip discography I would love to fill. Would definitely love vinyl of all of their releases and gords solo stuff.

More Hip on vinyl? Count me in.

Anyone know what Universal's re-issue quality is like of late?
Wasn't happy with FC (think that was Universal) but I think I read they later provided a better quality than the 1st re-issues off the presses.

My take on MOV - RA good, UTH not so good.

No can afford originals. Cry

at least a dozen shows - Montreal - Ste.Adele - Verdun ARA - Highgate ARA - Kanata - Sugarbush - Portsmouth

If this motivates anyone to part with their original pressings of Henhouse and Live Between Is, please pm me. Have cash if you're looking to sell.

This is awesome news. While I'd love original pressings I'm more than happy to have the chance to add these to my collection.

I am pretty sure musicvaultz is in Canada.
I know LBU originally was on 2 discs but I wish the other two reissues were single discs. I know, I know thicker vinyl usually means better quality/sound but these are probably cut from digital sources anyway so I would have much rather had Henhouse and DFN on single discs.
