Actually if you think the numbers through its not that extreme, especially for the original southern ontario addicts. Several shows shows per tour plus a few road trips into the US adds up pretty quickly. Not to mention dedicated tapers, I'm sure their numbers are right up there. At the end of the day its not really about the number of shows, IMO its a bout the experience, one show or a hundred shows the end result can be pretty similar.

Location, location, location.

Living in the Greater Toronto Area gives a fan access to a lot of shows within a few hours driving: Kingston, London, Buffalo, Hamilton, and Rochester are all easy round trips.

Throw in Montreal, Ottawa, Cleveland and Detroit and you have a lot of opportunities without having to travel too far.
