[The Horrible Esthete]

--Refereeing was atrocious, just like the last time Pitt played in the SB game. Coincidence? Probably not.

What did you think was "atrocious" about the officiating? Of the numerous penalties called, I felt that they all were warranted except the roughing the QB call on Arizona....that was cheap.

--Arizona's D was horrible on the Holmes touchdown. Three guys all looking at him. Atrocioius.

QB scrambles are always tough for pass coverage, and there was a guy right there with Holmes in the corner of the end zone (look at the picture above). The pass was PERFECT, and so was the catch. The ball was thrown to the only place on the field where his sure-handed receiver could get and nobody else could -- out of bounds.

--I give credit to Ben for the last drive, but I still don't think he's elite. Maybe if he wasn't so average during most of the game, his team wouldn't have needed to make a comeback.

He's not an 'elite' passer like Marino or Manning, and he never will be. But he is better than both those guys at making plays when the pocket breaks down. He's a winner...through and through. He can be on my team any day.
