While Obama certainly has a fairly wide lead in the national polls, it should be noted that the Liberal party of Canada had a fairly wide in a similar Hipbase Canadian poll, and that didn't quite pan out. Perhaps this isn't an appropriate sample.

I'm going out on a limb here and say you are absolutely correct in that this isn't an "accurate" sample.

I'm guessing that the 5 out of 44 who actually selected "McCain" in this poll are not Canadian.
