saw a few shows lately....
4/12/07: vietnam with the black angels - horseshoe
im a new fan of vietnam. didnt know anything about them before, but me likey. bluesy rock, maybe some psychadelic influences in there. the black angels are one of my favourites. they sound like they're straight out of the 60's or 70's. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.archive.org/details/TheBlackAngels">http://www.archive.org/details/TheBlackAngels</a><!-- m --> to hear some live stuff.
4/14/07: great lake swimmers at the church of the redeemer - toronto.
wonderful venue with great acoustics that fit GLS perfectly. they played two shows, 6pm and 9pm, which both lasted for just over 80 minutes. check them out at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.myspace.com/greatlakeswimmers">http://www.myspace.com/greatlakeswimmers</a><!-- m --> and <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.greatlakeswimmers.com">http://www.greatlakeswimmers.com</a><!-- m -->.
they are headed to europe this week and if anyone can tape a show or two so i can forward you onto someone about it.
