Here is another recent Rob interview I found yesterday. He comes on around 9 minutes in

Some great stuff in that interview, particularly his thoughts on the upcoming documentary. Also interesting to hear the reason why they rarely play songs from UTH and RA (coles notes summary: Downie's voice changed/dropped a bit over the years and he couldn't hit some of the high notes anymore, so he no longer enjoyed singing songs like Cordelia, etc..)
I also enjoyed his story about the girl in Las Vegas who mistook him for Dave Grohl. And I'm not surprised in the least to hear that his favorite current artist is Jason Isbell.
They are from Toronto, but yeah, it's cool that they were able to sell out 3 nights at Massey Hall. I have been to a few of their shows over the years and they have a pretty intense following already. Some pretty dedicated fans. I know there is one guy who started the "July Talk Superfan" club named Arne and he has been to 70-80 shows... Another girl I met in my town that has been to over 40.
But, Leah and Peter have some great chemistry on stage and the band puts on a great live show.
