you know what great about the US? Is that when the Hip come to town they play 200-300 seat places so we get to see them up close and personal. Not from the second level of the Air CA Center

Or at Cobo, or The Palace, or (the venue formerly known as) at Pine Knob; big show or small show, north or south of the border, they're all unique.

Intimate venues are, well, more intimate but there's really nothing like The Hip rockin' the ACC. Home turf, hometown fans, history on display hanging from the rafters, there's almost a sense of sanctity and reverence not only for the band, but the atmosphere as well. For me anyway.

I dream of seeing them play Red Rocks...
