anyone heard it yet? not sure the name of the new single but if i didn`t know he had left the tea party...i would be positive that it was a new ttp single. wonder what really happened there with them breaking up

If you ask me, it was Jeff Martin's huge ego that lead to the breakup. Just a hunch.

I'd say I was a Tea Party fan...not die hard, but a fan all the same. I've seen them live maybe 3 times, and on MuchMusic enough times, and I never got the feeling he had a large ego.

Hey, I'm in the same boat, or was at least. I have Splender Solis, Edges of Twilight, Transmission, Triptych, Interzone Mantras. I used to listen to these cd's ALL THE TIME but I still got the impression that Mr. Martin was an egomaniac. I haven't met them personally so I can't speak on how he is in person. Just a hunch like I said......and I've read interviews with him where he basically says he "doesn't mean to brag" but "the musicianship is the band is VERY HIGH". Maybe he's right, but who says that? Gord doesn't walk around telling reporters how great of a songwriter he is does he? I'm sure Gord knows he is fantastic but he doesn't have to tell everyone.
