C'mon, the call was a good natured gimmick. Besides, if a Liberal PM is pissing off Republicans, I'd say he's doing a job on the policy side. And ya know Bono's got better stories to tell than Dubbya anyway.

Papers today confirmed that the CHUM radio petition was what did it. Paul just got some good press out of it.

Seeing as how Bono said he'd "pester his ass" non stop if he didn't keep his promises to Africa, I'll be interested to see if they have another cheery meeting at the Lord Elgin this time around.

I like U2, but I do not like Bono mixing music with politics. Just stick with one, IMO.


U2 has been mixing music with politics since 1983. It's what they do. They're good at it. Even our beloved Hip have gotten a little political over the years, especially on IBE. Gord's political rants are just more veiled in metaphor than Bono's.
