From Buffalo to Wash DC. to "go see" my sister the same weekend the Hip were playing in 99. She was living in Baltimore and I just happened to mention it would be really cool to see them while I was there. :thumb:

The longest I've driven--still--was Thunder Bay to Apple Valley, MN for my very first Hip show on July 8, 2000. Beyond that, I've done Kingston-Toronto numerous times (and Kingston-Ottawa twice); when I was living in Toronto there was seldom reason to drive very far to see the band. 8) However, my dumbest Hip road trip was driving from Thunder Bay to Longlac for the afternoon, driving back to Thunder Bay for the show that night and then driving back to Longlac again the following morning. Anyone who's ever driving Highway 11, alone, in the dead of winter knows what I'm talking about.

For other bands...well, I've travelled all over North America to see Pearl Jam. The longest of those trips: twenty-five hours from Thunder Bay to Long Island for the first two Jones Beach shows in 2000. And in 2003 I drove from Kingston to Hershey, parked, saw the concert, drove to Harrisburg, went to sleep, woke up and drove back to Kingston in about thirty-six total hours. That was fun.
