There are about a dozen Hipbasers, myself included, that went to Europe to follow The Hip on their last two Euro tours.

I drove from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Toronto on December 29/30, 1999 to Toronto for the Millenium concerts at the Air Canada Centre. By myself. On the Trans-Canada highway. In the dead of Winter. That was about 24 hours driving time with two major snowstorms that I had to drive through.
By plane, I've flown from Halifax to Winnipeg to see them in my old hometown. That's the farthest I've flown.

We usually fly from YYZ to AirCanada's Aeroplan so called "short haul" destinations (Boston, NY, Chicago, etc...). We've probably done 30 + trips like this.

I flew from Istanbul to NYC to see Pearl Jam. And I probably would have done it for Das Hips as well.

Coast to Coast (lived in London, On at the time). After that, HOB Chicago. Haven't gone overseas. I have for Pearl Jam, though.
