Actually, there have been much worse "defects" than In View, but being as this is the Hipbase....
Back on topic, I've never had the wrong music on the CD, but I've had a couple where a song refused to play, with no apparent damage to the CD.

I bought a copy of Rufus Wainwright's debut album and ended up with a CD that played what appeared to be medieval madrigals and the like... very weird.

Back in the early 90's, I had a buddy who worked as a regional music rep for a Christian music label. He once played me a defect that occurred on one of their releases; instead of the uplifting religious music that was expected, it was gangsta rap with enough profanity to peel paint!

I thought I had discovered a rather large defect with a whole batch of CDs at my local HMV.
I purchased a Korn CD (can't remember which one off hand) and when I got home, found the first track to be blank, as was the second, as was the 3rd and so on. By track 10 I realised that there was something wrong.
Took it back the next day & explained the problem.
Shop assistant assured me it was probably my player, and tried it on the shop one to show me.
Same problem, Newcastle city centre HMV now devoid of music while we skip tracks.
He went to get another copy, out that it, and the same problem was found. 10 tracks of silence (obviously this is an opening for a cheap shot at Korn, but please, try to resist) By the 5th cd off the rack, the manager was called and all copies were removed to be returned to the supplier.
I was given my money back & I think I bought a Mutton Birds CD instead (support on the UK 1997 show btw)
When I told a friend at work, who was also a fan of Korn, he was able to tell me, after about 10 minutes of laughter, that the first 12 tracks of the album are supposed to be blank, and the album proper starts at track 13 (or something like that, it has been a while since I listened to Korn)
I must admit to feeling a little bit bad for the HMV manager who gets told that little gem of music knowledge :-)
