This happened to me today: I bought Wintersleep's Untitled album... and some girl is singing Christmas music on it.
This has happened to me before as well: I bought Bob Dylan's 'Love And Theft' and Time Out Of Mind was on it.
i got pink floyd's pulse as a gift
the first disc worked fine
and the second disc worked fine on my computer DVD player and my parent's DVD player, but it didn't work on mine...
I returned it to HMV (which is where my friend bought it), and they had something like 147 copies in stock, so exchanged it for me..without giving me too hard a time that it was opened + i had no bill
the new copy works fine
i bought one of Don Cherry's movies once, I think it was Don Cherry 13 or something, and there was a documentary about the making of Lord of the Rings on it
You sure the disc wasn't "Wintersong" by Mclachlin?

Classic!
Nice one Corby!!!
Sean... I'd keep it as it may become a collector's item. Talk to bornalion or markslog... they're pals with Wintersleep.
Hmm, the guy at Music World says that manufacturer's defect CDs are worthless. He told me about how two of the Fillmore East Neil Young discs have been returned...and Snoop Dogg was on it.
And through some minor, minor research... the CD is the Wynnona Judd Christmas CD.
This is probably the only copy that actually sold.
My friend bought Hayden's "Everything I long For" from Sonic Unyon in 1998, when he got the cd he put it in his player and low and behold instead of Hayden it was Radiohead, Ok Computer. A bit different than what he had ordered but it didn't bother him to much, he called Sonic Unyon and they said while a batch of discs was being pressed at the factory they had screwed up and put OK Computer on instead of Everything I long For. They sent him a new copy and it was fine, he didn't have to return the other one either so he has an interesting keepsake
The only "defect" I ever ran across with a CD - is when I opened the case, there was actually no CD.
I walked right back in the store, and they did not even blink an eye and gave me a new copy.
i bought a pete townsend solo cd with two disk
disk one played disk 2s tracks and disk 2 played disk 1's tracks
Ron
back when i worked at music world, we had a ton of Yanni cd's come back that instead were playing ACDC's Back In Black..shocked a lot of older mellow people!

I've had that happen a couple times, too.
I bought a Raggadeth CD a looong time ago, not sure what was on it, but it sounded more like Yanni I think...come to think of it, I'm not even sure what a Raggadeth is now!
About the worst "manufacturer's defect" I've ever run across was a song called "In View"....
Other than that, I guess I've been lucky.
