Well, sorry for going off topic but this thread seemed dead anyway. I needed someplace to post this, but didn't want to start a new thread because I deemed it unnecessary.
THE WAIT IS OVER! After ordering and then for 10 days anxiously awaiting its arrival, LIVE BETWEEN US is finally here! My brother lost it over the summer, and we didn't replace it until now. Thank goodness it is back, because this is easily my favourite album.

Edit: You were at the Detroit show that this was recorded? I am from Michigan, but at that time had not heard of the Hip
I would give my right nut to have been at this show.

How big is the place in Detroit where the show was recorded? Cobalt arena or something. I was surprised they recorded a show in the US, maybe the crowds were too crazy in Canada? it sounds like a massive stadium, just the sound of the record, but I figure almost 10 years ago, for being in the States, it can't be a giant NHL sized hockey arena?

Cobo arena is pretty large, although I doubt they used/needed to use the entire building based on the MI shows I've been at, which have not even sold out (sad, but good for me). I just googled Cobo, it says the capacity is around 12,200. Understandable for the building that annually hosts the Detroit Auto Show.
A better MI venue is The Orbit Room, it is super-small. We got there when doors opened and managed to get front row, it was the best show ever!

'Live Between Us' was recorded at Cobo Arena. I believe it was originally built with the intention of hosting concerts and other large events. Cobo Arena was the home of the Detroit Pistons at one time and there have been hockey games held there also.
The arena has great acoustics and many popular bands have recorded live albums there. Bob Seger recorded 'Live Bullet' there and I believe KISS and The J. Giels Band also released live albums recorded there.
I live in the Detroit area and I was lucky enough to attend that show. The arena holds somewhere between 13,000-15,000 people and I remember it being full of Canadian and U.S. Hip fans.
