Made a change that is apparently working. Sorry about that. Should work just fine now on Gord's site.

MAv.

The link you just posted works, the one on facebook works, but clicking on "listen" on Gord's site doesn't like connecting still. 2 out of 3 ain't bad 8)

P.S. Thanks a lot for this. Especially the whole downie/lightfoot show. I wish I could get a copy of it, but listening online is the next best thing. Cheers MAv

Cool. You might have checked before I changed it. I did it in the wrong order. Posted then changed.

the GD link and the one I posted are the same player and setup now. Can't help you with getting a copy. That's the purpose of the streaming audioSmile

Glad it works.

Have a great weekend.

Just an FYI.
The listen link is still not working on the site - it still links to: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://gorddownie.com/mp/index.html">http://gorddownie.com/mp/index.html</a><!-- m -->

Grr. one of those days. Got stuck behind a window and didn't press the ok button.

It should now say Gord Downie Music Player v2. as the title in the window. this is the same as index2.html that I posted above.

Prays that everything will work now . . .

Why single out Morning Moon when Bobcaygeon sounded just as horrid. I love Gord as a lyricist/performer/entertainer but when it's just him and his guitar.......well, most of the time it's a pretty painful listen.

Not necessarily. I saw Gord by himself once in Ottawa back when Coke Machine Glow came out and he sounded fantastic. It was a very small room though, and there were maybe 100 people there, tops. Perhaps his nerves just got the better of him during the Lightfoot gig. Don't forget, he's usually flanked by his fellow bandmates in concert, whether it's the guys in the Hip or the Country of Miracles. It's not often he plays solo acoustic gigs all by himself.

The music player doesn't work for me, either. I'm getting the same screen as the one above.

Interesting. Try this link and let me know if it is better:

http://www.gorddownie.com/mp/index2.html

Apparently it is - new version is up on the regular link.

This link works guys. Just bookmark it. Easiest way for me since I can't stand facebook.
