If You Could Read My Mind - Gord Downie and Gordon Lightfoot
#1

CBC Radio 2 will be airing this recorded event on April 4 @ 3pm. I believe it is 94.1FM in Toronto.

Once they sort it out, maybe they'll include 'morning moon'...

Has anyone ripped all the audio from the concert?

Two great artists making great art. Although, I have to say that Gordon Lightfoot put it mildly when he was talking about Gord's rendition of 'Morning Moon'; I think it sounded like shit.

I'm confused. How do I rip audio from audio. Or do you mean has someone captured it? If so, just download it from the CBC site - right click and save the linked files through each song title on the left: http://www.cbc.ca/radio2/cod/concerts/20100204light

Agreed, it sounded brutal. Gord didn't seem to have the guitar part down and his vocals were pretty rough. He admitted as much at the end of the song though: "that was a real wrestling match."

That is what I meant, but the files don't save with an audio file extension (.mp3, .mp4, etc...) , rather a .asx I believe it was. At least I have never heard of that type and wouldn't play with VLC or itunes.

Any advice?

Morning Moon is included in the music player on Downies site.
The stream from Downies site is 2 hours - compared with the 1 hour on the CBC site.

Made a change that is apparently working. Sorry about that. Should work just fine now on Gord's site.

The link you just posted works, the one on facebook works, but clicking on "listen" on Gord's site doesn't like connecting still. 2 out of 3 ain't bad 8)

P.S. Thanks a lot for this. Especially the whole downie/lightfoot show. I wish I could get a copy of it, but listening online is the next best thing. Cheers MAv
