Here's an email I received today from the band:

Dear friends,

While we were recording Love At The End Of The World, our friend and video director Mr. David Pawsey, had occasion to sit in on many of the sessions. He was able to document a good portion of it on his camera. What we've done is set up a page where you can view a selection of vignettes that we've made with the footage, each one gives a peek at what was going on during the recording of several different songs on the record. In other news, a 2-disc vinyl edition of Love At The End Of The World is currently being pressed and will be hitting record stores as well as our online store soon... We will be including a card which will allow you to also download the album free, how's that for service?

I've been waiting for this on LP. Hopefully, it won't be the annoying three-sided double set that Chemical City was.

I also dig how more and more bands are throwing in links to digital copies of the album with vinyl purchase. I couple I picked up last week had similar promotions, which is gold marketing.

Just got back from seeing the band perform at Ed Fest in Edmonton, and it blew my mind. They played the new stuff, and the classics. But they didn't stick to the studio versions, they would go off into these amazing interludes. Just awesome performers.
We stuck around a couple of hours after the show to meet the band, so that was cool. What sticks out in my mind was how gracious they were that we wanted their autographs. Every single band member would ask my name, ask where I'm from (Sam Roberts & I talked a little bit about Montreal cause we're from the same neighbourhood, so that was fun), and they all ended it with "thanks for waiting around to see us". Their bass player couldn't believe we brought actual album covers to get signed. He said "we know the true fans" stating that MP3's have taken away from the music in one way or another. Just a great show, and they're just great people. If you get the chance (Calgary folkfest, Pemberton, etc.) you should definitely go!

February 17th - US ALBUM RELEASE DATE
On February 17th 2009, Love At The End Of The World will finally be hitting American stores and iTunes USA!
We will also be launching our long-delayed Digital Booklet on the website, which will contain the lyrics to all of the songs, accompanied by some beautiful images from some very talented fans. Thank you one and all!
