They played 96 songs - I am not sure how many they actually have - but I wish The hip would do this.

The Hip have what, somewhere well over 200 songs? At 20 songs a night you'd be there for like 11-12 nights! lol

Would be insane!

I hope they pick Ottawa to do it in. Scotiabank Place is probably booked so I'd be willing to give up my backyard and/or garage.

The 2 Toronto Fort York shows in June of '06 was a great start. 2 nights, 40 songs, no repeats.

Sort of--they played their entire "current touring catalogue," which didn't include a bunch of songs (notably "Leash," "Satan's Bed" and "Who You Are," among others). Also, in order to pull it off, they actually opened for the opening band Night 3--the night went Pearl Jam unplugged/Sleater-Kinney/Pearl Jam. Confusedhock:

One especially cool thing about it: they only repeated one song...and they only played "Yellow Ledbetter" twice because no one would leave the venue at the end of the third show. Needless to say, the Hip have to do this someday!

direwolf74 Wrote:The Hip also played a show with Wilco in Columbus, OH back in '98 on the Phantom Power tour. Wilco headlined. The only reason I remember this is because I have the bootleg for that show and after the Hip's last song, Gord says "thanks folks. Wilco is up next."

I was there!

No. There were other acts too....

It was the first time I'd ever heard Wilco...or heard of Wilco for that matter. I remember enjoying what I heard, but wasn't blown away or anything.

Plus, it was a festival-type thing....so The Hip's set was shorter than normal....
