Wilco just did a five night stand in chicago, pledging to play every song off of every album.
They played 96 songs - I am not sure how many they actually have - but I wish The hip would do this.

Has anyone ever asked them if they visit this site? I doubt they would say so even if they did, but I'm sure someone has asked.

wilco is the shit! the 5 night stand in chicago was unreal (they're all availible for download at bt.etree.org). also, for the small u.s. and austrailian tour that followed the stint in chicago they were taking requests on their website <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.wilcoworld.net">www.wilcoworld.net</a><!-- w -->.
some wilco and hip links... wilco was part of the line-up for the 1997 another roadside attractions. gord downie's pre-show setlist (played on the venue p.a. before shows) includes a wilco tune - shot in the arm.
jeff tweedy is the only songwriter that does for me anything close to what gord downie can.
upon hearing that wilco was going to play their entire catalogue, the first thing i thought (after thinking for a little if there was any way i could get to chicago for a week) was how cool it would be for the hip to try something similar.

The Hip also played a show with Wilco in Columbus, OH back in '98 on the Phantom Power tour. Wilco headlined. The only reason I remember this is because I have the bootleg for that show and after the Hip's last song, Gord says "thanks folks. Wilco is up next."

... and once in texas. part of a festival. gord talked about it in a muchmusic interview last year.
