Yeah, at one point during the block of songs where Waits was playing the baby grand (I think it was during "Lucky Day", or maybe "Tango 'Til They're Sore), the crowd began making a rather pedestrian attempt at clapping along in time. Waits stopped playing altogether, turned toward the audience, leaned into the mic, and quipped:

"I'm a little thrown-off. Your sense of rhythm is is even worse than my son's!"
