The video for Nautical is spectacular but I've always had it a little different in my mind. I've always seen the lighthouse keeper just going about his duties and then seeing this boat in trouble. Well, he climbs into his dingy and then heads out, only able to take ten. They have to kick off everyone else trying to climb in, then Gord wakes up in bed, takes his phone call and after the "fingernails scratching on my hull" line, he falls back to sleep with images of people thrashing in the water and tears being shed in the boat accompanies by the powerful outro. I've always had this image of a wife trying to dive out of the boat to her husband who is still in the water and she is being held back by one of the men in the boat and she's screaming. Maybe that's just my active imagination but that's how I've always seen it.
