I was at the FYE mini concert that Gord called a tea and crumpets set.I went for two reasons.The first is that I love the Hip,the most important was to have something signed for my good friend who needs a kidney transplant.the band and store managers were awesome,heres what I got....

Tragically HIP signed acoustic electric guitar..
signed by the Band at FYE on 3/10/07 specifically
for a friends(kidney transplant) benefit..

The guitar : Washburn/Lyon acoustic electric guitar
in near new condition(display model) with tags still
on - purchased the day of the event! w/retail value
$299.00 (unsigned)

The autographs : Starting with Gord Downie near the
neck (top right) ending with Johnny Fay who drew a
rare picture of his drum kit with the bands name in
the base drum.This is something he does for special
occasions only !!

I have the guitar posted at a few dif. sites and currently taking offers

Any chance you could tell us more about your friend? Is there a web page or site devoted to him and his situation?

the only info on the internet about Tom's benefit was a link from his sons hockey teams website. westsenecayouthhockey.com

Thanks for the videos. The guitar looks awesome. Also of interest, is that the set will be seen during the Kid's Escaping Drug's telethon, on March 31st on Channel 2 (NBC-WGRZ) Here's the info that I got:

he reason we shot the show yesterday was for the Kids Escaping Drugs Telethon set to air on Channel two (NBC in Buffalo) on Saturday, March 31st. Unfortunetly I don't know what time we are going to air the Hip, but the Telethon airs from 4pm - 10pm. When we get the rundown set, I'll e-mail you a more accurate time.

I'll be sure to pass along any info I receive that would make taping/tivo'ing this easier

the best way to help my friends, is to pass along the info of the guitar/reason for the sale, on as many of the boards here as poss.
