I've heard Sam Roberts and K-os are playing at Mac next week, I'm pretty excited about that.

The Trews are not ready to go, but they're tired of waiting.

I've never heard these guys before but from the talk on this thread I am willing to give it a listen. It always seems that music recommended on this site or talked about on this site in a positve way turns out to become bands that I really like. I never even heard of Hugh Dillon, heard some chatter on the boards here, picked up the album and am a huge fan.

You're not alone. They do absolutely nothing for me. And it's not that I can't stand them per say. It's just that I'm completely indifferent to them.

It's their live show that made me a fan. I actually didn't like their first record until I heard it live. I haven't even picked up their new cd and I'm not sure if I will. They're a band that I'd try my darndest to see live if they were close my living accomodations though. They put on a mean set. The first time I saw them in Charlottetown they kicked my ass into the next week. Colin has some STRONG VOCAL PIPES.

I'll definitely agree, the guy has a solid voice.

I saw the Trews on Friday night at Golfapalooza, and they put on a solid set... and I taped it. There were at least two other people filming, so I'll see what I can cobble together...

The Trews are unbelievable! The new album is solid. "Making sunshine" and "ishmail and maggie" are awesome songs. Just saw these goofs at Arizonas on Saturday and they put the best show I have ever seen them play so far. Just completly blew me away! Kudos to the best up and coming band out there!

I saw them at Arizona's in St.Catharines on Sat. and the show was amazing. They are an awesome live band, they even threw an awesome drum solo and guitar solo!
