I have actually been lucky enough to see this song live twice.

How did you manage to see it twice of the four times they've played it? Wow. Lucky you.
What did you think of the live renditions?
I can't listen to that recording until I get home, but I'll certainly check it out then....

Oops - I was mistaken - I only saw it once and that is the recording I posted.
It was on the setlist and Hipbase concert archive lists it as being played for 6-27-2 NYC show which I attended, but the encore was changed and they played Dark Canuck instead.
I am not too sure on my thoughts on the live version - the
single time that I heard it was about the day the album was released and no one was very familiar with the new songs yet. So I was just thrilled I was hearing the whole album live.

Yeah....unless I wasn't mistaken and did see it performed somewhere after all, the only live version I've heard was the Audio Magic Studios (buffalo) rendition, which sounds very unpolished and flat to me. But that's not a knock, really, as it was second time it was ever performed publicly.
So they didn't play it at the Irving Plaza show in June '02? That means that aside from those IVL premiere radio shows / warmups, they've never done it live. I guess they must've realized that it was going to be a tough one to do onstage......

I have not seen anyone mention one of all my all time favorites and that is ALL TORE UP. I have not yet been lucky enough to hear that one with 15 shows and counting!

Thanks to the glorious club tour of 06 and the summer tour that preceded it, I got to hear songs I never imagined I would ever hear live, including;
Something On, Dire Wolf, Titanic Terrarium, Use it Up, Are You Ready, Lionized, Eldorado, The Rules, Chagrin Falls, Thirty-Eight Years Old, Putting Down, Sherpa, The Wherewithal, Greasy Jungle, We'll Go Too, So Hard Done By, Yawning or Snarling, Tiger the Lion, Save the Planet and Three Pistols

Opiated eluded me for a long time, and I like you am close to 30 shows. Kingston was my 28th. Opiated eluded me for many years...It has always been on my favourite songs for it's punchiness and rythm. When Gord and crew started belting it out I went to another place........a happier place........a greener place. That's that.

Emperor Penguin gets my vote too. There are others, but this song would totally stand out for me.
