In my weird mind, I always thought of "Are We Family" as sort of a sequel to "Unplucked Gems", not for the lyrics, just the music has that vibe to me, am I crazy? There are alot of good songs from recent albums we probably won't hear too much of live. "The Darkest One" being one of my favorites live.

Family is such an amazing tune. It's my favourite from IBE. It just puts me in this relaxed mood somehow, I can't explain why.
I hope the next time the Hip are in or near Toronto they play it because I was so upset not to hear it either at the ACC or the Amphitheatre.

I was thinking...is this a good song to play at a wedding? Perhaps all of the lyrics aren't the best, but the general idea seems to be there.

I suppose most folks don't look too deep into the metaphors, and just want to hear Kelly Clarkson sing. But, I still think it's a good choice.
For me, a song has to tell a story, or at least have some sort of meaning. Something you can relate to. Something you will remember... for it to be a wedding song.
Maybe I'll just pick Inevitability of Death, and get it over with.
